Alan Gerson: "Terms
of Art"
Alan Gerson is a noted New
Orleans artist who also happens to be a lawyer with a goofy sense
of humor. He regularly adds new visual puns to his series of
popular cartoonlike watercolors that function as comedic commentaries
on the law, lawyers, and the legal profession. These works reflect
Gerson's well-developed appreciation of human foibles, trials
and tribulations, especially when concerned with matters of law
and order. A native of New Orleans, Gerson received his MFA from
the University of New Orleans and also received a JD from Tulane
Law School. He has exhibited across the South as well as in New
York, Florida and Oregon.
All of the watercolors shown here, and many more, are available
