Thomas Deaton is a Louisiana native born in Lafayette where he earned a BFA studying printmaking at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. In his narrative cityscapes, Deaton captures snapshots of neighborhoods on the brink of decay, contrasted by vivid sunsets and lush vegetation. ⁠
